MEETINGS

  • HOSA meeting during 5A on Monday in Mrs. Knox’s room.
  • There will be a short NHS meeting on Tuesday, September 22 during 5A in the meeting room next to Mrs. Husted’s room. Please bring some ideas for fundraising.

Ø  Help a student driver. Help your school.

o   Win $10,000 for a school organization!

o   The South Dakota Office of Highway Safety and the South Dakota Broadcasters Association are repeating the Lesson Learned giveaway to help keep students safe. This year, it’s easier than ever for teens to enter. They just need to watch a video that tests their focus at LessonLearnedSD.com and fill out a form. Just two steps could win them $10,000, plus $10,000 for a school-sponsored club or activity of their choice. 

o   But don’t wait to spread the word – the contest runs September 1 – September 30.

Ø  Any junior or senior taking the ACT at a location other than our school on October 6, MUST wear a mask to the test center. Masks will NOT be provided and you WILL be turned away if you aren’t wearing one.

Ø  Any junior or senior interested in being a legislative page during the upcoming 2021 legislative session, please see Ms. B for more information. Deadline to apply is October 1.

Ø  These are the requirements and recommendations for the VB home game on 9/29.

o   Requirements

§  Mask WILL BE REQUIRED to be worn by all fans and workers, and will not be provided.

§  NO food, water or concessions will be allowed in the main arena.

§  The concession stand will be in the east wing, with eating/drinking/no mask allowed there.

§  Officials, workers, coaches and players can have water.

o   Recommendations

§  Social distance where possible

Ø  Miss. Beastrom still needs Juniors to sign up for concessions. Please go see her when you have free time.

Ø  Any 8th graders interested in participating in TATU (Teens Against Tobacco Use) please see Ms. B ASAP.

Ø  The 10/5 JH/JVFB games that were to be in Miller v MV/P, have been postponed for now, with no new date yet.

Ø  The JHVB match that was to be at Stanley County on Monday, October 5th has been cancelled.
