THURSDAY, OCTOBER 23 – FCCLA TRICK OR TREAT FOR THE FOOD PANTRY: For members who signed up, report at 6:00 for pizza and hot chocolate. We will “trick or treat” from 6:30-8:00. THERE IS A PERMISSION SLIP THIS YEAR THAT YOU NEED TO GET SIGNED AND TURNED IN.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 23 – 5B: Short OPTIONAL FCCLA OFFICER MEETING to assign duties for the Elementary Halloween Party Activities. Whoever comes to make the decisions.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 3rd-Dual Credit Registration Meeting - during 5B in Meeting Room. This is for 11th and 12th grade students interested in taking a dual credit course next semester. Average Cost: $235.44. GPA requirement: 3.5 for Juniors and 3.0 for Seniors. Ask Ms. Gibson for more information if needed!

School Information:  

-FCCLA Members are Currently selling Woodbridge Candle products. Woodbridge is a local candle company located in Wolsey, South Dakota. Each member is asked to sell at least TWO items. All proceeds from the fundraiser goes toward the individuals personal FCCLA expenses


FCCLA RED RIBBON DRUG PREVENTION WEEK IS THE WEEK OF OCTOBER 20-24 “TEAM UP AGAINST DRUGS”!

MONDAY: “TEAM Up Against Drugs!”. Dress Up: Sports Jersies or Favorite Sports Team. (Coloring contest sheets due back and will be displayed in the school gym)

TUESDAY: “SHOOT for a Drug Free Life!” Dress Up: Wear ORANGE or Basketball Jersies

WEDNESDAY: “TURN your back to drugs, not your teammates!” Dress Up: Backwards Clothing Day

THURSDAY: “Hit a HOME RUN, Don’t’ do Drugs!” Dress Up: Wear Baseball Themed Clothing or baseball caps

FRIDAY: “Sailing the Sea, Drug Free!” Wear Red or Pirate Clothing. PLEDGE TO BE DRUG FREE!!!

(Students can find hidden ribbons through the week and bring to the FACS room for a prizes)

Highmore-Harrold's Athlete of the Week for Oct. 10 - Oct. 16th is Talon Ping.

Talon is a Senior Football Player who was nominated by his coach for the following reasons:

Talon is a leader both in the locker room and on the field. He consistently works with all the other players and was a major part of our team this year.
