Sophomore, Junior, and Senior students who are interested in attending Nurse for a Day at Presentation College, please see Ms. Bergeson for more information.

Students will work on hands-on activities in the on-campus Simulation Center, and will connect with current Nursing students to hear about their experiences.

The South Dakota Air National Guard will be hosting an exclusive career day at their base in Sioux Falls.

Who: South Dakota Air National Guard (114th Fighter Wing, Sioux Falls)

What: Career Day

When: Wednesday, October 27th (8:00 am – 11:30 am)

Why: To see, in person, what makes the Air National Guard your BEST military option

Where: Air National Guard military base, 1201 W Algonquin St, Sioux Falls, SD

A Mitchell Tech representative will visit this Thursday 10/28 from 11:40 to 12:50. This is for sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

 

Monday, November 1 a representative from SDSU will be here from 8:45-9:15 for any sophomore, junior, or senior who is interested.

 

There will be a SCRUBS Camp in Pierre on November 4. This is for students in grades 9-12. Applications are due October 27. See Ms. Bergeson for an application.

Ø  It is SOCKtober!  FCCLA will be selling socks from now until the beginning of November.  We will have them downtown at the Halloween Spooktacular on Friday, October 29 from 4-6.  For every pack of socks (3 pairs in a pack) sold, one pack will be donated to a local cause!  Packs will be sold for $12 each.

Ø  The student council will be hosting a Family Prom in the Auditorium on Saturday, November 13 from 6:30-9:00. This is for families of pre-school through 12th grade students. Music will be provided by Newn’z Tunez. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Ø  Juniors: your candy money needs to be in by NOV. 1 Tucker owes $60, Coby owes $60, Jeff owes $60, Treyton owes $60, Bryce owes $60, Phillip owes $60, Ethan owes $60, Tate owes $35, Mason owes $36, Johnessa stop in to See Miss Beastrom

o   Wednesday is “from HEAD to TOE I’m Drug Free” CRAZY HAIR & SOCKDAY

o   Thursday is “Make Health Choices for a Bright Future” WEAR BRIGHT OR NEON CLOTHING

o   Friday is “Drugs are SCARY!” WEAR HALLOWEEN COSTUMES (NO MASKS)

o   The Highmore Halloween Spooktacular will be downtown on Friday, October 29 from 4:00-6:00.

Ø  HACOTA is sponsoring a FREE dance class! Come learn to jitterbug, along with other various types on Friday, November 5th at St. Theresa’s Hall in Highmore at 7PM. Just in time for the Family Prom being hosted by The Student Council.  The class will be taught by Seth and Bridget Zilverberg.
