Ø  SPLASH BUS BEGINS IN JUNE

o   No Pool / No Problem - Summertime at the pool is still ON!

o   The City of Highmore is working with River Cities Public Transit to provide FREE weekly transportation to the Miller pool throughout the summer. (Weather permitting)

o   The proposed schedule is:

§  Monday – Wednesday – Friday

§  2 trips each day departing from the High School at 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm.

§  Kids will be returned from the pool beginning at 5 pm.

§  The City of Highmore will provide chaperones.

o   Please note: roundtrip transportation is FREE for the kids but they will still need to pay for pool entrance.

Ø  FCCLA Member Year End Party/Awards will be Monday May 10 from 12:00-12:45 in the High School Meeting Room.  A meal will be provided.

Ø  The women’s civic league is looking for volunteers to work at the baseball concessions stand this summer. This is a good way to get volunteer hours for scholarships. Contact Susan Bast at 870-1131. A schedule will be made up at a later date.

Ø  The journalism students need students who are involved in rodeo to e-mail photos and any information about the season/personal stats. to Mrs. Bast for inclusion in the yearbook. Since all of those activities happen away from school, and much of it, after school is out, we have to rely on students to supply the photos and information. Thank you!

Ø  There is only one driver’s ed class now: on Thursday, May 27 from 9-11

Ø  If any high school student is interested in running for Student Council President, Vice President, or Secretary/Treasurer please let Mr. Schmidt know by Friday, May 14 at noon.
