  • There will be an FCCLA Officer Meeting Thursday, 9/17 at 8am in the FACS Room to plan Membership Drive & Homecoming Activities.
  • Student Council meeting Wednesday, 9/16 during 5C in Mr. Schmidt’s room.


Ø  Help a student driver. Help your school.

o   Win $10,000 for a school organization!

o   The South Dakota Office of Highway Safety and the South Dakota Broadcasters Association are repeating the Lesson Learned giveaway to help keep students safe. This year, it’s easier than ever for teens to enter. They just need to watch a video that tests their focus at and fill out a form. Just two steps could win them $10,000, plus $10,000 for a school-sponsored club or activity of their choice. 

o   But don’t wait to spread the word – the contest runs September 1 – September 30.

Ø  Any junior or senior taking the ACT at a location other than our school on October 6, MUST wear a mask to the test center. Masks will NOT be provided and you WILL be turned away if you aren’t wearing one.

Ø  Any junior or senior interested in being a legislative page during the upcoming 2021 legislative session, please see Ms. B for more information. Deadline to apply is October 1.

Ø  These are the requirements and recommendations for the VB home game on 9/15.

§  Mask are recommended to be worn by all fans and workers, and will not be provided.

§  Food, water or concessions will be allowed in the main arena.

§  The concession stand will be in the west wing (normal spot), unless I hear different from Diane after I send this.

§  Officials, workers, coaches and players can have water.

§  Social distance where possible

Ø  Dig for a Cure shirt orders will be out this week and due back with payment by Monday. Dig for a Cure is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6 and more info will be coming soon.

Ø  Miss. Beastrom still needs Juniors to sign up for concessions. Please go see her when you have free time.

Ø  Elementary yearbooks from last year (2019-2020) are ready to go out. The yearbooks are $ 15 each and there are PLENTY available. For those who pre-ordered, those orders have been set aside and they may be picked up from Mrs. Bast’s classroom at any time. She also has some pre-orders that were made, but haven't yet been paid and she has labeled those and pulled them aside pending payment. 

Ø  The JV game of the JH/JVFB games at Miller v S. Buttes has been cancelled on 9/21, so it will just be the JHFB game at 5:00.

Ø  The 9/23 xc meet that was to be at Faulkton at 1:00 has been cancelled, but now Ipswich will be hosting it/one at 10:00 on the same day that we are going to.
