BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING MINUTES

 

February 1, 2016

High School Gymnasium

7:00 PM

 

 

The Highmore-Harrold School Board of Education met in special session on February 1, 2016 in the High School Gymnasium at 7:08 pm. Members present: Michael Bollweg, Paula Haiwick, Paul Knox, Jim Stephenson Jennifer Semmler, and Clint Buchholz. Others present: Superintendent Chip Sundberg, Principal Quinton Cermak, Athletic Director Mike Ring.

 

Members of the Public present included Mike and Karla Aasby, Jory Schmidt, Andrea Schmidt, Treg and Renee Cowan, Rod Domke, Tonja Jessen, Velvet Jessen, Mary Wortman, Renae Olson, Blake Farstveet, Dylan McDonnell, Max Ring, Jharret Bloomenrader, Richard Painter, Brad and Lori Ryan, Joe and Heather McDonnell, Jared and Toinette Brueggeman, Trevor Brueggeman, Hunter Brueggeman, Kim Knox, Treyton Knox, Samie McCaulley, Don Beckler, Jason Frost, Mary Algers, Shilo Bale, Justin Bonnichsen, Scotty Pekarek, Thomas Semmler, Lynn Morford, Danielle Hale, Dan Lamont, Carter LaMont, Doug Knox

 

Vice President Bollweg called the meeting to order from at 7:08 pm.

 

The pledge of allegiance was recited.

 

Knox/Semmler moved to approve the agenda. The motion passed.

 

Mr. Ring presented information about current and projected boys basketball participation numbers and gave information about the process that is entailed to develop a cooperative agreement in the sport of basketball.

 

Public gave input. The public was encouraged to continue to give input to the School Board. The School Board will make a decision at their next regular board meeting on February 8, 2016.

 

            Stephenson/Semmler moved to adjourn at 8:14 pm. The motion passed.
