Mitchell Technical Institute will be here to visit with students Thursday, Oct. 19th at 1 p.m. Any sophomore, junior, or senior who are interested may visit with them.

 Tuesday, November 28th from 1:45-2:30pm the representative from South Dakota State University will be here to talk to sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

*Monday’s JVFB game in Miller v Parkston will now be at 4:30 instead of 5:30.*

 SR.PARENTS will have a meeting on Sunday, September 24th at the Aud – 5:00.  All senior parents who are planning on participating Monday night at Coronation must attend this meeting.

 SCHWANS JUNIOR HIGH FUNDRAISER – The Junior High once again has chosen to team up with Schwan’s for their annual fundraiser this fall.  If you would like to be a part of this fundraiser, please mention code 34442 when ordering by phone or you can also enter this code online.  If you choose to do this, 20% of these sales will be donated back to the junior high class.  If you use an eGift card and mention the above code, 40% of those sales will be donated back to the class until October 28th.

 Want a chance to win $1,000 and a trip to D.C.?  If you do a lot of community service you should consider applying for the Prudential Spirit of Community Award.  Speak with Mrs. Kroeplin for more information. The application is due by November 7.

 Juniors and Seniors will be attending the College Fair in Ft. Pierre on Monday, September 25. We will be eating at the Pizza Ranch. Please bring $9 to Ms. B by the 25th to pay for lunch.

Any Junior or Senior who is interested in taking an ACT prep course in Miller at a cost of $60 please see Ms. B.

 Sophomores:  Any sophomore interested in attending the Hugh O’Brian Youth Seminar this spring, please see Ms. B for more information.

 Any Senior who is interested in being a legislative page for the 2018 Legislative Session please see Ms. B for more information. Deadline is November 6, 2017.

 Order your 2017-18 yearbook now! This year the yearbook staff will be putting together a separate elementary yearbook in addition to the high school yearbook. High school yearbooks will remain at $35 and the elementary yearbooks will be $15. There will be a limited number of books so be sure to find Mrs. Brummel and get your order in now to secure your book!

 Huron Regional Medical Center is sponsoring a Health Careers Exploration Academy for grades 10-12 November 21-22, 2017 - 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  The Health Careers Exploration Academy is an experience that provides an excellent opportunity for high school students (grades 10-12) to explore different careers in health care under the guidance of healthcare professionals. Students spend the day observing and learning about the different career opportunities available at HRMC. In addition to a tour of HRMC, students engage in hands-on activities in the following career areas:  Laboratory, Nursing, Radiology, Physical, occupational and speech therapy, Medical coding, Surgery, Dietetics & Respiratory therapy
